My second chemotherapy treatment went as expected. I was only mildly nauseated. I was exhausted/fatigued the day of the treatment and the 4 days after. The best news - I didn't get the itchy rash all over my torso, like last time.
The bad news - The nursing staff was only able to get the IV going after the 3rd attempt - and those veins plus the vein from the first treatment are still black and blue. - so this necessitates putting in a port for future treatments. Next week will be gobbled up with blood draws, appointments, procedures, treatments and recovery time. This will only be the third treatment and I'm already tired of it. I don't think I've quite come to terms with my new reality.
Some other good news. Paul says my hair is growing back post radiation. It's only at peach fuzz length - but it's coming back - so I've got that going for me. Small win!
